Multi-Industry Effort Urges Congress to Sustain Employee Retention Tax Credit
Employee Retention Tax Credits helped drycleaners keep employees on the payroll during the global health crisis but now it’s in danger of being removed. DLI joined a multi-industry effort urging Congress to sustain the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC). The ERTC has served as a lifeline for small businesses during the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. The ERTC was set to be terminated as part of new infrastructure legislation. DLI is grateful to the other organizations involved in the process and believes keeping the ERTC will benefit member drycleaning businesses. DLI joined 21 other associations representing various industries as part of the effort and signed onto a clear and powerful message to the leaders of the U.S. Legislative Branch.
